He said he was staying Europe to take care of his newborn son. I guess Ultra is more important than his kid...

He probably realized that he could pay for his sons college with one gig @ Ultra

Lineup looks damn good. Still can't fork over the insane amount of money. I wish they would keep it at one day and pack all the talent in. Might end up there on Sat just for shits.

Line-up Looks impressive and surprising at best. The type of quality they are bringing for the knowledgeable EDM head base its massive. Fatboy Slim in there its just crazy.. the guy has been packing places in Europe like nuts, brighton beach. Anyways... good stuff good stuff so far.

Kruder & Dorfmaister on day 1 uuuggghhh I'll prolly miss them

So many people getting their panties in a bunch over "why isn't he/she/they playing here 10 times, or there ten times, why not @ Space, why not @ Ultra, why not 18+, why isn't Picotto leaving his newborn with Nanny Feelgood so he can DJ for us 100 times," etc, etc.

Everyone needs to relax, STFU, and be happy that in one week there will be more parties and talent in this city then there is in the rest of the country in a year. Parties and artists always start getting confirmed for WMC in February at the earliest. So again relax already.

I will say it again Ultra Day 2 is looking so much better than last year. Main stage SVD added Gimme a break, Day 1 never. Day 2 is a no-brainer. I hope someone buys LP a ticket, a pen and a note pad so he can take notes and see how a real DJ plays b4 he goes spewing any more bullshit about never bringing SVD to Space.

The main stage lineup for day two is much better this year. Lawrence and SvD are both great additions. It's funny that one of the main complaints about last year was that there was not enough trance. Well, Ultra has responded with Corsten, etc and we haven't even reached phase III. Plus, Fatboy Slim is a gimme, I'd never see him in any other US city. The Techno tent looks great, Picotto alone is reason enough to go.

Who cares if there are going to be 18 year olds, e-tards, whatever. We often forget that clubs are jam packed full of idiots, people on E, ass holes etc. Go for the music and let the rest take care of itself, that's my .02

I know you probably werent saying all 18 year olds who listen to edm are e-tards.

I listened to edm since i was 7. I have been going to events for years now, and dj'd many as well. Not once have i taken e. I am not a fan of the e-tards who think listening to edm is a must with e, and go to events dressed in that candy crap with lollipops and shit.

And seriously, for the 21 and over, 30 percent of the women in the clubs are under 21 with fake ids. doesnt seem to annoy people when they clearly look underage. They seem to be 21 and thats what matters. I go dressed approprietly, and go to enjoy the music and have fun. Thats what EDM should be about, and not this whole new culture status attached to it with drugs like music in past generations.

As far as the complaints from people, its just opinions man. There will always be many. I am not complaining about the lack of trance. I am glad they improved in that this year. Myself, i would have liked a little more to be like Ultra 7. THat was my favorite lineup from the ones ive been to.

Many people who ask questions might also be new to WMC. I ask for 18 and over events cause the previous years i never thought about asking and heard many took place like the metropolis parties.

On a side note - wonder how the setup will be this year. Also interesting to see how they pull off the set and stage displays. Hope to see more lasers and not just lighting.
