I think that you have "finding a cure" and "making public knowledge that a cure has been developed" all mixed up.

And who says that with the billions of dollars that they have been generating over the years haven't been used to suppress development of something that could be detrimental to their profits?

Corporations are businesses - trust nothing more than the fact that they wish to make money as fast and efficiently as possible.

This is exactly why they're ll trying to find one ASAP. It's a very common misconception that cures for cancer and AIDS are being surpressed or, at the very least, not pursued vigorously. The fact is, businesses are, and SHOULD be as greedy as possible. To quote Wall Street, "Greed is good." Only, unlike in that movie, it doesn't need to lead to illegal activities. There's more money in finding and distributing those cures than there is in not doing so.

Prices can be negotiated on several different levels.
