I am not getting one yet, I am gonna wait till they go down in price big time.. I have a duall core Conroe e6600 at the moment, and I am more than happy. I did try the new quad core.. I have a friend who's fortunate enough to get the quad core from his parents, and i've asked him if we could try it at my place, since my motherboard is quad compatible. All I got to say WOW. I can imagine what 8 cores will do heheh. But yes the quad is a monster, at list for me.. It has more than enough computing power to run the most cpu hungry vsti with ease.. but than again I use hardware mostly, so the duall core I got isn't eaven used to the fullest.. Like I said I can't get past 60% on my duall core.. And too bad that quad core that my friend is using isn't eaven gonna be used much, since he dosn't make music or use any software that accually uses the quad.. unless you need one for internet surfing and ocassional poker online lol....
