Haha...I'm good friends with one of the lead advertising guys for SL, it'll be interesting to see where this goes. He's already got tons of companies throwing in for billboard/tv ads in the game.

Wow.
They even called it Second Life. I like computers, and god knows I'm addicted to Internet, but this is just scary. I'm getting images Of the Pearl Jam - Do the Evolution video where the guy is sitting in front of the computer, and he is literally "wired" to it. Is this really where we're heading?

WOW!
So i registered for this yesterday and was playing around with it..
they have like clubs where you can go dance and stuff, you can even get employed there and get money (real money). They have malls and stuff.
I even went to sears. You go into sears and check out the media rooms and then when you click on a TV or whatever that interests you, it launches that page on sears website so you can buy it.

I recommend Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash.
Sci fi novel about exactly this sort of virtual reality world applied to real life. Good book. Kinda creepy as well
