I think Dark Reign is now abandonware, ie free to download because it has been out so long and the developer has given up the copyrights or summat, coz u can no longer buy it.


try lookin thru abandonware sites, i think there is one called home of the underdogs, where u will be able to d/l the full game (only be small)

Alternativley I would recommend Total Annihilation, thats a classic

i rememebr buying that when it came out, expecting big things. but no! it pissed me off that NO new games could around modifying different armour types like command and conquir did so well! it was like your infintry die in one shot and medium tanks in 3 shots, it was quite wank, so the aim of the day was too just ammass many many triple rail/tachion tanks! also aircraft were a bit flimsy and shit, other than that all the other stuff was mint, graphics and storyline and terrain.


crasher[uk] ta is one of my faves, but i can find it abandomware! i have the actual game but have lost the install cd!

yeah, TA is imho the BEST RTS ever made.. that game was soo much fun. too bad, TA2 never came out.. it would have owned all the other shit!
