how about a couple of us putting together something like a list of "frequently posted topics", a bit like a FAQ? and having it as a sticky at the top of the relevant forums?
The FPT can contain a list of the standard topics always asked and some links to previous versions.
I'd be happy to start doing it / put it together if a couple of others are prepared to help. *cough* Ste *cough*
