my only problem with Lynch movies post Dune is that they suck complete shit and try wayyyyy too hard to be unique and different. If I want to spend 2 hours trying to figure out what the fuck is going on I'll go on a blind date, I don't need a shitty David Lynch movie.
Haha, simple-minded people like you are amusing

that statement does much more to define your character than mine, i'm afraid
however, those petty jabs to try and elevate the general perception of your modest intellect make the forums slightly more interesting, so carry on.

you're right, my comment earlier was from annoyance more than anything.
I've had too many discussions with pseudo-cinema buffs who heap praise on Lynch but can't tell me what his movies are about, why they liked them or how his movies are edifying in any way.
If one wants to spend the time to try and get answers to those questions from David's movies I'm sure it can be done and a true appreciation for his works would be gained.
I'm just sick of the people who jump on the 'I Love David Lynch' bandwagon simply because they have no clue what to make of what they just saw other than it was really unique and true cinema buffs seemed to like it.
I'll give this next movie of his a viewing and watch it with an open mind, however.

next movie being .. Inland Empire?
Not to sound arrogant but if you couldn't understand his other movies you most certainly won't be getting the meaning of this one any time soon!

i haven't seen very many of his other movies, and while I understood some of what transpired I couldn't (nor could anyone else who is being honest) walk away with absolute clarity as to what I just saw. He intentionally leaves his movies open to interpretation which is what I was referencing with regard to 'understanding' his movies.
