agree 100%

why do you think roxy and crobar and stereo esp do so good and REMAIN open. I dont even need to go in it. just stupid decisions overall, i just saw it going down and down and down as the months went on.

kick it back to summer/fall 2006. oh damn that place was rockin then.

Hahaha. Indeed. The place was as packed as I have ever seen it, and with people paying $40-50 to get in, the club definitely saw a much needed cash infusion....

I'm quite surprised to read the so-so reviews on Rauhofer. I thought he was terrific, and by the look of the crowd, it seemed like almost everyone was enjoying themselves. Cajjmere Wray was definitely "on" as many people have noted -- the place was rockin' when Peter came on....

Rauhofer Saves Sonic. Guess not....

It's not a cash grab at all...it's the going rate for this DJ...some people in here need to give their heads a shake...

We get it...some of you don't like Sonic, and you'll be glad to see it close...point made...now move the fuck on!

ya Rauhofer is an expensive DJ.

you get what you pay for.

i don't understand all these little kids that don't understand the costs that are involved with getting such big talent. Everyone wants in free and/or to pay 10$ or tops 15$ to get into a club with an amazing dj.

You're right fairy godfather, some people need to check themselves!

Rauhofer was great, but it was just way too hot inside for my liking, which made his set tough to appreciate... at the beginning at least. I would dance for 15 minutes or so, then had to stop cause I was overheating. It's tough to appreciate a set when you have take 100 breaks for air.

At about 5:30 or so, Sonic finally started to cool off & the last 2-1/2 hours of Rauhofer's set was really good... slamming hard beats... exactly what I was expecting to hear from Rauhofer. I suspect the first part of his set was equally engaging, but the heat was just too distracting to overcome.

After seeing last night's turn-out, it's hard to believe that Sonic is closing. I haven't seen this many people stick it out until the end since Sonic's opening... and the coatcheck line was so long it went right up the stairs!

Somehow, someway, I wish Sonic could remain open. I realize it all comes down to economics, but after seeing last night's turn out, you'd think there was some way to make it work.

It's obvious that the gay crowd, the one crowd that so many people around here complain about, are the ones who support (and bring the coins to) the club EN MASSE.
