don't give up i thought was good, bit on the commercial side but enjoyable.. brian's voice was run through a vocoder so it ended up fitting quite well. the backing track was rather nice also, with lots of the old-style chicane subtleties thrown in. also if you take 'stoned in love' as how it was intended (ie, as a radio-friendly pop record), it isn't all that bad.. it's strong, catchy & well produced. but that said i'd never play it at home
'love on the run' is by far the worst thing he's done in my view... it had the same accessibility factor as don't give up, only it was really weak, half-arsed & not catchy in the slightest.. sounded like it was thrown together in one night (as with most of the tracks on that album)

i also don't have high hopes for this, seeing as in interviews nick has made clear his desire to leave the 'old chicane' behind |
"Love On The Run" I agree was pretty bad. I just hate Tom Jone's voice..it doesn't fit in a dance track. "Don't Give Up" was probably the better of the three male vocal Chicane tracks, but I just thought it was too overplayed and like I said, I prefer female vocals to male vocals so I might be partially biased.
