my point was why would you buy a crack when the cracks are availablefor free ? I didn't think my message was that convoluted.

Does anyone know if this would have everything the full version would have??
Cheers

Just to make clear H2O are a crack team so this version that the guy is selling is a illegal version of Cubase not any kind of demo version.
It probably will be exactly the same bar the extra you get from purchasing legally i.e. support from Cubase and updates to keep it and your system bug free.
If I remember correctly in the UK it's up to ten years in jail and unlimited fine so be advised.
DeZmA - bear in mind not all users know who H2o is or even what cracked software is. And if sold on ebay as "try before you buy" then I'm sure plently of ppl have got hooked that way.

Anyways, it's cracked software. Which you can easily get for free instead of paying the price that guy is selling it for. He's making a profit off h2o software. H2O "was" a team of crackers and programmers that released music production software to the community for free. Which of course is not legal. They don't exist anymore.
Yes, they've disappeared into thin Air.

Hm.. doesn't take much to figure out it is illegal software if it's about 1% of the retail price. Anyway, they should really do more about this ebay thing and all it's illegal stuff. Same thing with all those classic synths sold by chinese people.
i find nothing bad in using H20 software as long as you dont use it for commercial purposes. you should pay for Cubase SX the same day you give away your production to the public audience.
im using "Try before you buy" Cubase SX 3.11 and I will pay for it if I find myself serious about music production otherwise I will just forget about it and cause the developers no damages

Hm, I wouldn't admit that... I think it goes without saying that most people are "borrowing" software, and when they can afford it, they'll buy it if they enjoy it. But admitting you steal on a public forum might be risky!
By the way, piracy is part of the reason that the new Cubase programs are so inefficient processor-wise:
they have program code running to check against piracy in almost every action you take. That's valuable sequential program code that could be used instead for your audio.
And that dongle... those things seriously NEED to go!

Glad you cleared it up for me what it actually is, doesn't sound like the best way of going about things to be honest
if it is cracked software... but on the other hand if it is going to work and only cost a fraction or even avaliable for free it may be worth a look just to see if i can get the feel of it.
Many Thanks for the info

No. Do not download a cracked copy for free. Do not buy a cracked copy. There is a reason why many developers release demo versions of their software or cutdown, cheaper versions which allow you to upgrade the license once you figure you like the software.
Steinberg do a Cubase SE edition which you could best think of as Cubase Lite. If you like that, you have the option to upgrade your license to the full Cubase SX.
You would do well not to sponsor software piracy on this boards as its a big no no here. It explains some of the hostile reactions to your post even if they aren't totally justified.
