At that point you kind of crossed the rubicon and you might as well lay siege to Rome

Sorry, but I had $5 in ones, and the Sam Adams sixer was $8.19. So, it was go home happy, or just go home. Nothing like a Foster's "oil can" to get things going right.

Foster's big cans (lol @ pun) were once coined "oil cans," as that is what they supposedly resembled. It's the 25.9 oz. can now, but I'm not sure what size it was back then.
From Wiki: "The distinctive "Oil Can" design was the brainchild of Foster's Group Marketing VP Jack McKimm. Other company higher-ups proposed a jumbo glass bottle, but a demonstration involving an old-timey oil can spout sold them on the idea. The distinctive can design has become synonymous with Foster's Lager."

Well there you go. Learn something new every day.
Ironically though, it would probably taste better to drink actual oil

Nothing says, "I'm here for the party" like carrying around a 25.9 oz. can, baby! That's dedication. Gotta drink fast so they don't get warm.
