Anything that has a harsh bassline usually sounds better ona big system hence why tech-trance is so popular. Isnt big on melody or anything but the basslines are always big hence make the tunes dancable at events.

Doesnt make tech-trance any less boring though..........

yea slipping away sounded very dull and cluttered on my speakers until the vocals kicked in but at a club last week i think it was, it really did sound awesome and i love the vocals in it

but yea pretty much all songs sounds better louder but the point of this thread is ones that just seem to have a huge improvement on the song when it is loud and turn it from perhaps good to fucking amazing

Tough call, but anything with a heavy, rolling bassline almost always sounds alot better on a bigger system than a smaller one. You just can't get that kind of bass response on a 6" subwoofer.

yeah was gonna post the same as you and gizzy, some tracks just suit bigger soundsystems but have a completely different feel on smaller or knackered systems (like the club i was in on saturday).
"fonzerelli - moonlight" is one that comes to mind, sounds pretty basic on a small system with little bass but hear it on something large and clear and the bassline sounds great.
apparently "Duderstadt - Smile (duende remix)" sounded really nice at godskitchen the other week but im guessing on a basic/cheaper/crap system it sounds a bit cluttered and then it doesnt get the same feel.
probably why theres so much bitching on here in regards to some tracks. maybe you have to hear some tunes on a system they were designed for rather than your £9.99 ipod headphones or your laptop speakers to truely appreciate them for what they are....

Going to have to say Ame - Rej.

My god, when I heard this in the Guvernment at 9 AM last summer, those synth stabs may have well as been daggers. It just cut right through me, and it was so utterly clear .... really deeply affected me

not to mention the rich, deep, rolling bass. it was definitely a holy moment for everyone there with me. It was actually Benny Benassi who played it and he had already played a set at another venue and looked pretty coked out. There was this really gritty realism in the entire thing that made Rej that much more intense

i can't listen to that track the same since

Never heard it played out, but I can imagine that sounding huge.
