I hope you understand and agree with the implications that the movie has on the entire big corporation hierarchy. Thats what I am trying to say here. The movie made me sad and angry ...

I think you need to understand corporations a LOT better besides picking and choosing ones and then veiling capitalism, as a whole, as 'evil'.

It's one thing to be informed of certain corporate practices, hell I'll even agree to your point regarding the health and wellness industry, however there is this one dimensional, frankly-regressive acute utopian disorder that permeates a lot of your posts.
For someone with your average, I think you're about to get a rude awakening once you hit the real world and get that little piece of paper before moving to a job with a 'corporation' like McDonald's...

Ummm ... I worked at McDonalds for 4 years ... they wouldnt let me quit. And I worked for other big corporations as well. So what? Its not like I am a hippy - but I dont shop at Walmart, and dont eat any meat, fish or animal milk products because I dont condone animal abuse. Thats the least I can do, among other things. I dont hate corporations all in general, there's good ones and bad ones. I dont trust some private industries like health-based companies. Thats what I am saying here. With a lot of money comes greed and abuse of power, and vice versa. It becomes hard to resist when so many others are doing it. No trust and no respect from me to PRIVATE corporations like drug and health-based. Same with tobacco companies. Isnt it obvious as to what these things do to people? I mean, my youngest brother is the first one in my entire family history dating to grand-grandparents who ever had allergies. He was born in Canada. He was given a lot of medication, and his health is not any better. He is also autistic. And he was the only one in my extended family to be with allergies, health problems, autism, etc. Coincidence, you say?

Not at all.
Actually you hit a vein that I actually agree with you 100% on.
The health industry is one of a lot of pitfalls and caveat emptor.
As a personal example, my wife and I are vehemently apposed to giving our new baby a vaccination at her very early stage in life.
Just about every practitioner in Toronto won't take a baby if it hasn't had it's shots. I was actually quite shocked at how blindly they follow this doctrine even though through all our research, there are TONS of documentation showing autism being directly linked to these vaccinations.
Not once did any give any explanation as to why they need this as a perquisite before taking her on as a patient, which in turn, immediately put up a red flag for the both of us.
We have found an alternative (thanks to our holistic friend): Toronto-Centre Naturopathic Medicine.

In the end, it's really up to the individual to make their own informed choice on how they want to heal themselves.
That's not to put hospitals down, they were great when it came to my broken leg and my wife's recent C-section at Mt.Sinai here in Toronto. We are so blessed to have some of the best hospitals in the world in fact, however I'm a HUGE believer in prevention while at the same time, using regular checkups, both holistically and medically, to gauge yourself.

Was this a McDonalds in communist Russia? Otherwise I'm rather confused by this statement.

I think you're making a very wise choice...

Those young, developmental years are no time to be fooling with the underlying makeup of our physiological systems.

Same deal with giving kids drugs and the unknown affects on their neurology, from aspirin to ritalin. Best to let the brain develop normally at first.

And for that I have a lot of respect for you all, and glad that you see this. Hopefully things will go well health-wise for you and your family ;-)

No. In Russia, I never knew McDonalds existed because there wasnt one for over 5,000 km - I lived in deep south. Or actually, the one in Turkey was only couple thousand kilometres away. I almost lived in stone age so to say, no computers, no cable television, ...

Sure, whatever tickles your pickle. If you believe I am being too cocky, well, its your opinion and let's keep it that way. I am just more direct at voicing my opinions, and I am not always right. I am very confident. I've admitted being wrong, in case you missed some of the arguments, something very hard to notice from some other TAs on this forum admit. Occrider had me beaten, with Aquadyne when I was so sure of my side of things ... There goes that!

And if you worked at McDonalds or knew some people who worked with me, you'd be impressed by my speed. But my vegan lifestyle that I developed a while after starting at Mickey D's became too conflicting with fast food industry ... I am a fast person. Just to let you know I dont spend hours posting, I think and type, I have many more important college projects to do and interesting books to read ;-) Its mostly pointless to argue on this forum, everyone's minds are already made up. I am just trying to have some fun and learn new information. Thats all. If you knew me in person, you'd have a heckuva good time. You'd be surprised that I am not a geek, or a crazy tinfoil hat wearing guy, not some dark depressed quiet fella ... I am very upbeat, energetic funny guy who loves nature and crazy dancy electronic music ... I get along with most people.

OK, though I still don't understand why they wouldn't let you quit. You do know that all you had to do was say the magic words, don't you? It's not like McDonalds employees are irreplaceable. I'm just confused by that statement.

I love the people. I still hang out and have a good time with some of the managers and crew. All the fun times, jokes, events we had. Some people like the top brass are idiots, but I dont want to brag, and you have to believe it, but they enjoyed working with me and wanted me to stay. On the second time I just seriously said that I had to go. That was couple months ago. Oh, tomorrow is poker night, me and my former co-workers mostly ...

Working at jobs like McDonalds where people are expendable and easily replacable doesnt mean that everyone who works there is enjoyable to the management and others. There's something called sucking up to managers, making other employees enjoying working with you. And thats why even though I was late few times, missed couple shifts here and there, I was never suspended written up or anything like that. I hope you can understand what I am saying ...

No shots? Let me guess the MMR and its relationship with autism? Even though its your kid man this is an ill informed decision. Vaccinations produce way more benefits than possible side effects. And if its because autism and the MMR you should do more research, there is no relationship between the two.

Prehaps you can enlighten me then?

You may have misread. I didn't say never, I just said at such a young age.

I believe the onus would be on you at this point to fuss up...
