Oh boy, I don't even remember. But three of my most memorable experiences are these.
1.- GLOBAL GATHERING 1995 (Orange County)
This was a warehouse party in Santa Ana that I played at. There was a map point a few streets away at an old Carl's Jr.
I remember showing up to the very looooooooong dark warehouse. As I entered the front door, I hear the bass thumping and echoing.. It's very dark, but at the end of the warehouse I see an ocean of people screaming and jumping with their hands up. There was a cheesy DJ light on each side of the DJ Setup. The DJ Setup was set up on top of some pallets. A beat up pick up truck with a power generator and the speakers loaded on the back was parked right next to the set up. The energy was amazing. Wow!!! I can't belive I still remember that night. I remember everything like it was yesterday.
2.- EMPIRE POLO FIELDS 1996 (Palm Springs, CA)
I was working at the movies at the time. My friend showed up and he invited me to go to a "RAVE" in Palm Springs. I said yes, and off to Palm Springs we go. His car kept on over heating every few miles, so we didn't show up until like 1am. Police helicopters, newscameras, and thousands of ravers were all over. We parked on a dirt road, and as we're walking to the Polo Fields, we see the LASERS bounce off the mountains. Than, I see people coming towards us, all of the sudden, police in riot gear is telling us to get into our car. The crowd had gotten out of control because the party had sold out and thousands of people were outside. Lucky for us, we had parked next to a small stream. We didn't wanted to drive back home, so we snucked into the party through the stream. Hehe That night was so much fun.
3.- RAVE IN THE MOUNTAINS 1997 (Angels Crest National Forest)
This was another bad ass night. The Map Point was in some warehouse in Downtown LA. We picked up our tickets, and we drove for nearly two hours into an abandoned ski resort in the mountains. That night was spiritual to me. I remember seeing my boss DJ for the first time, I remember seeing Skylab 2000 for the first time, and a bunch of other live acts. Trance was different back then, but it was fun! I liked it. I remember sitting down on top of a cliff, overlooking at an ocean of ravers as the sun came up. The air was cool, and Skylab 2000 was on. I fell asleep on the cliff, and some girl came up to me. She had a tickle me Elmo, and laid him on top of me. She made Elmo talk, so it woke me up. Hehe She was really cute and really down to earth. We began talking, but we never saw each other again. That night was amazing!

3rd or 5th Annual Burning Man, SF Beach. Dont remember.. Yes, its been that long. Id have to say: Circa 1993-94.
First Rave, a Homebase Rave, sorry folks dont recall the Rave name.. Possibly The Human Society, PLUR, or The Yellow Electric Watermelon or something like that. Taken to the Rave by old school group of friends that told me the experience would forever change my life.. Circa 1995. also my first pill that night. I chewed it... Stupid Move.
First Clubbing Experience: Club 369 in San Jose, and 1015 Folsom S.F. Circa 96 or 97. 1015 being the place where I met Djs Armin Van Buuren and Dj Tiesto, and heard Delieriums - Silence for the first time.
Yes, I'm showing my age here..
First EDM Tracks ever heard: KLF- What Time Is Love? and 3 a.m. Eternal, Veracocha - Carte Blanche, on Armin Van Buurens ASOT #3, and BT's - Flaming June. Cathy Dennis Remixes and Art of Noise. (people are prolly like wtf.. lol
Tuned into EDM from collecting music since 84, as a kid growing up, I collected Movie Soundtracks and scores, and listened to Freestyle for a number of years like Stevie B and Buffy.
First Rave Cassette Tape (yes Cassette)given to me was fom Dyloot, a Red Cassette with SKILLS printed on it. If I recall the first track he opened his set with was PVD - For an Angel.
