And I don't think MGS was largely influenced by the Rock. I just think they used some subtle elements to recreate a feeling that parallels the score for the opening scene.

Hans and Harry both produced music for The Rock, but HGW did the main theme to it if I remember correctly.

And Hideo Kojima has let the world know many times over and over again how much influence The Rock had on MGS as a whole. Both the action and the music.

What made "The Rock" was the soundtrack(one of the few soundtracks I own), as witnessed by some of the music from it being borrowed by many other movies/shows.

MGS series is a series which would tempt me to get a PS3, much like Gears of War and the soon-to-be-released Halo3 would tempt me to get an Xbox360. Either of these as a movie would be cool as long as they don't make it too campy.(and from all the rumors, MGS movie seems to be in safe hands)

I was just joking about that.

I think Russel Crow would be perfect!

Sean Bean

the guy who did the score for MGS (Henry Gregory Williams, or something like that) did the score for The Number 23. it sucked big time
