in all honesty, you're better off going to a good tattoo place, and talking to one of the artists to see if they can draw you out anything from your ideas. that way you can get something that's really unique and not just a cliche symbol.

Think you'll just get fed up with dopey people asking you why you haven't got the caterpillar tattoo finished/coloured in and who HN's initials are.
Anything technological is a bad idea for tats, when it become redundant junk in a few years, generally very few years.
