having used all of the above mentioned cd decks

pioneers FTW

the 1000 mk3 reigns supreme above all

the techs are really weird to play on, not too bad though once you get the hang of it

the denons... they should've stuck with dual unit cd players

Wow, Thanks for the feedback! Not one person suggested the Tech's over the Pio's. I've been hearing mixed reviews on the Tech's on diff. websites..some say stay away..you'll waste money, other's say..they're great..yet they dont comment on the pio's. I do mix quite a bit..alot of beatmatching so mixing is very important in my sets and Pioneers seem to be great with keeping an accurate pitch hearing from some reviews. Looks like I'm leaning towards the Pioneers. On the panasonic/technics website..there's a video demo for the technics player..and he mentioned that these feel just like the original vinyl 1200's..but everyone else is saying how the platter is too sensitive..or doesnt feel right..etc...I find that quite interesting.

I think the 3500 is a solid deck.
that has nothing to do with what you asked

they feel nothing like the 1200's. i've used those for years, then a few months before they released the cd deck i checked them out at the namm show and was very let down.

then a couple of months later i tried them again at a friends house. after a few hours he returned them to the store and got the pio's.

I was insinuating that people shouldn't really care what they look like...

I really do think the Technics look better, but I went with the Pioneers instead, just because of the track record that Pioneer has on reliability. Also hearing not a little, but alot of negative feedback on the Techs. I've own 2 different sets of Pioneer CDJ's and they never failed on me, so I went with the Pioneers. Thanks for looking out, ladies and gents!!!

Personally I'd be a lot more interested in functionality than what they look like...I mean seriously, why are you djing anyway if you're picking equipment based off of what looks cooler?

Plus I think the Denons look better (aesthetically) than the Pioneers.

eh i agree.. this is why i got the cdj1000s... i think they look better than the denon...

i also got the 800mk2 over the 200 even though the 200 has a better pitch +-
