why does every1 always have to bash something before they know it ...

anyway, the concept of Tijs' show is completely different than ASOT or GDJB.
all info on the show (translated) can be found on tiestotracklists.com .. & if u can read Dutch, go to radio538.nl

Club Nouveau is a hr show. the first with a mix (prolly a broadcast of some set, Ipanema for example). the 2nd, he'll experimtn with tunes of differetn styles, and invite new talents/dj's to promote themselves .. so no 2 hrs non-stop tunes without side-comments

explain to me where I was bashing? I remember you quoting me (and me saying) that "it could be neat".

As for the show, I don't see a huge difference in concepts. I also doubt how long it will stay in that proposed format. GDJB used to have plenty of guest mixes until internet radio became way too easy and accessible so then everyone had their own radio shows and no need to produce guest mixes for GDJB. It's another reason why ASOT doesn't have nearly as many XXL episodes as it did in the past. So guest mixes won't last that long, I predict.

I could not imagine myself dancing in a spontaneous manner to asot, then there are of course exeption at the level of single tunes.

Yeah I see what your saying. I just thought the comment didn't make sense. I've seen Markus Schulz's style though as being more chilled and spacey and still danceable, but Armin's music, whether it's epic trance, tech-trance or progressive, or something in between all of these..is just more energetic..has a drive about it that IMO works much better in a large club. Markus Schulz's style on the other hand, seems more of a "warm up" type stuff that is chilled out. He may be playing different stuff now, but i'm thinking back around 2004 with his coldharbour sessions that he did.

youre right, im sorry .. i should have been a bit more explicit (i wasnt referring to you). and i misinterpreted your words a bit (i looked up neat in the dictionary).

about the guestmixes; tiesto (of what i understood of the whole story) isnt really gonna do guest mixes, but more a (short) moment in the show to give young talent a change to promote themselves, and show their skills. after all, if Tijs' show will feature some set (by Tijs), some new tunes by Tijs (experimenting with the styles), and a promo mix by a youngster, and that all in 2 hrs .... it wont be the radio-show format you'll find by trillions @ ETN, DI.FM etc ... those 'radio-shows' are like thirteen in a dozen

Ah, ok, neat. So think more like TATW with their short guest mixes/producer appearances. Hopefully he gets a bit more innovative. I'll listen and give it a shot.

never really got into GDJB due to lack of time, not at home ... I did listen to ASOT but I recently gave up listening, it just isn't worth it anymore.

about the show of tiesto: I'll probably give it a try but I don't have high expectations. First hour is going to be the more accessible music, while the second hour will be more experimental with any sort of music, from minimal to house ... Not really something I'm waiting for

my guess (from all ive read about the setup of the show) is that it'll relatively/compareably more innovative than ASOT, GDJB, TATW ... hope I'll hear tiesto talking more then whats normal in any other radio show
