wow this just shows how lame MTLTA is.
Not one review of DJ VIBE.
No doubt one of my fave djs.
My excuse was i woke up at 5am to go, saw a foot of snow, went back to sleep.
But i saw him 4 times last year so....

I really wanted to go see Vibe also but I partied super hard at Sasha + Curcis on Thursday and desperately needed some rest on Friday otherwise I would be too fried to go to Booka Shade tonight.

I heard he was really good.

Great night. Dragged my sorry, half-sick ass out of bed at around 3:30, grabbed a taxi and made my way down. Almost slid off the road about 3 times from Parc and Sherbrooke to Stereo :P Vibe killed it. Somewhere around 8:30am he pulled out all the stops and started spinning the busiest, dirtiest, nastiest tribal I've ever heard. Vibe gets a perfect 10/10 for not redlining the system--pure, beautiful, thundering bass lines, not fuzzy nose-vibrating mush. The floor was still as full at 10:30 as it was at 6. Only track I in particular that I can remember was Offer Nissim Ft. Maya - Perfect Love (Redkone Lisbon Mix). He's got a really fuckin' cool mixing style, using space and rests for emphasis rather than buildups and explosions, which was really cool, and I love that his buildups were never more than 8 bars. Maybe a bit faster of a set would have been a bit hotter, but after 8:30am, no complaints

Just heard from friends, he totally sucked (for vibe) and the crowd sucked, wasnt packed and that he ended uber early at like 10:30
glad i didnt go now
