"Gwarek2" is really dark. Some amazing sounds in there as well.
His "Selected Ambient Works" also contain dark ambient stuff. But he does a hell of a lot more than ambient and dark ambient, of course. One of my favorite musicians.

Aphex Twin is such a vague example in this context. He's done so many things within the electronic music spectrum, it'd be unfair to call him dark ambient.
