In all seriousness, I average about 40 words per minute. That's why i'm in computer science and not data entry.

Id' say my average is around 70WPM depending how complicated the text is. I learned to touch type in grade 5 and have been doing it ever since so its pretty natural.

haha..i know what you mean.

I use to be like that w/ my CC. I wouldn't even know what my number actually was. But as soon as I started typing the first two digits, the rest would come naturally.

Hah, you guys suck. Especially saying you're in comp sci and not data entry - it's even more important for you guys to be able to crank it out quickly, you'll usually have about 20 minutes to fix some bug (which requires totally rewriting a module, of course) before a customer gives up or gets really pissed off.

Mine (without cheating, and tired after doing this all day at work) - 126 on that site with no errors. capture

There's a better test at http://typera.tk/. It picks out random sentences, often geeky groaner jokes to entertain you (and probably distract you) while you're going along, and you can't backspace once you've typed a word. Accuracy is factored into the score (misspelled words don't count for anything). As far as I know, you can't cheat either.

That's one from a while ago on another site... this one I can pull off about 135 but with 2 errors... once I get home and not on a ghetto laptop keyboard I'll give it a whirl :P
