Um, so just a quick question, is this actually a stealing satellite?
I dont see anywhere that you actually mention Tasmin as an original maker of the song, and while i was browsing some forums couple of days ago i`ve found "Aurora - Sleeping Satellite (Super8 Remix)" and it have exactly the same lyrics, so wtf is wrong whit you guys?
And while Kenneth Thomas "rework" does sounds like an original song it just have more energy and ofc its trancy... sample
Super 8 doesnt, al least i can`t fine the original song that Aurora "made" in `03...
And this is sample of the original song that Tasmin Archer made and released in `92 sample |
Ehh.. not really sure what are you ranting about.. but both Aurora and Jan Johnston tracks are remakes of the Tasmin Archer track with different vocalists, they don't feature actual samples by Tasmin Archer.
As long as a producer/remaker gets permission from the original artist, he/she/they don't need to mention the original artist's name all the time elsewhere but on the release notes as long as the original artists are OK with that, unless the name has especially been demanded to be shouted out allover to get more credit for creating the original piece. And many of the original artists don't actually require their names to be mentioned even on the credits as long as they're getting a) royalties, or b) some other profit from the record sales or c) a certain amount of $$$ to allow the usage of the original material, like lyrics, melody, sample bits or something else.
This is why the original artists aren't always mentioned in the credits on the record sleeves even when the cover versions/remakes are fully authorized/officially permissioned.
Aurora's version features Naimee Coleman as the vocalist and Jan Johnston's version features, d'oh!, Jan Johnston. Tasmin Archer's voice isn't heard there anywhere in them.
