Um, so just a quick question, is this actually a stealing satellite?

I dont see anywhere that you actually mention Tasmin as an original maker of the song, and while i was browsing some forums couple of days ago i`ve found "Aurora - Sleeping Satellite (Super8 Remix)" and it have exactly the same lyrics, so wtf is wrong whit you guys?

And while Kenneth Thomas "rework" does sounds like an original song it just have more energy and ofc its trancy... sample
Super 8 doesnt, al least i can`t fine the original song that Aurora "made" in `03...

And this is sample of the original song that Tasmin Archer made and released in `92 sample

Ehh.. not really sure what are you ranting about.. but both Aurora and Jan Johnston tracks are remakes of the Tasmin Archer track with different vocalists, they don't feature actual samples by Tasmin Archer.

As long as a producer/remaker gets permission from the original artist, he/she/they don't need to mention the original artist's name all the time elsewhere but on the release notes as long as the original artists are OK with that, unless the name has especially been demanded to be shouted out allover to get more credit for creating the original piece. And many of the original artists don't actually require their names to be mentioned even on the credits as long as they're getting a) royalties, or b) some other profit from the record sales or c) a certain amount of $$$ to allow the usage of the original material, like lyrics, melody, sample bits or something else.

This is why the original artists aren't always mentioned in the credits on the record sleeves even when the cover versions/remakes are fully authorized/officially permissioned.

Aurora's version features Naimee Coleman as the vocalist and Jan Johnston's version features, d'oh!, Jan Johnston. Tasmin Archer's voice isn't heard there anywhere in them.

Ok, i understand the producer/remaker thing, but its just stupid to me to use the same lyrics (and melody) in couple of songs, and the 1st one was a hit single already... Especially to listen same style with the same lyrics (im talking about this two remixes), so what is that then, lack of creativity...?

How is that different from countless other songs then? There are thousands of hit songs which have even more remakes with the same lyrics and melody. If something becomes a hit, it's more than likely others will make their views of the song hoping to get their piece of the hit cake as well and to give the song their touch, how they want it to be like.

Well im not talking about remixing stuff, but reworking with diferent vocalist and "same" malody and lyrics widouth mendion original maker of the track, i dont think there is actually that many tracks, most of the time ppl just put original artist name and their name next to `em, so thats why i was wonder when i read that track name.

maybe jan johnston is a fan of the original track and wants to update it for 2007 so it won't be forgotten... i think jan has also done enough original material that she should easily be allowed to do a cover like this... it sounds good, too... can't wait to get it!

The idea is that all the tracks on the mix will be available in unmixed form as well. The mix is due out in less that 4 weeks so you should see it soon. The mix will also include a second remix of mine of David Guetta- The World is Mine that will not be on the upcoming re-release single on Perfecto.

What is wrong with covers? Why do you hate them so much? Also, they can't possibly be pretending it's their original work. Anyone old enough must have heard the original.
