I cue in CDJ mode then switch to vinyl mode as soon as (or even before) I hit play lol

Stutter cue means I can get my cue point more accurate so if I want to throw the fader up and punch a track straight in and it'll be bang in time... then while playing in vinyl mode you can still use CDJ mode-style pitch bending with the platter edge plus scratch with the platter, do deck stops etc (cos I'm ghetto).

I meant in vinyl mode..sorry!

vinyl mode to cue then cdj mode to beatmatch/fine tune

switch to vinyl mode for deck brakes and spinbacks obviously

cdj mode

if i want to play vinyl, i'll play vinyl

plus i like the stutter cue

i'll switch it to vinyl mode to do tricks though

I've gotta say...

I was a hardcore vinyl addict and when I started to play on cd's I was still a firm believer on using the vinyl mode on them. Truth is, if you are gonna play cd's then cd mode is the way to go. Of course, it is all a matter of personal preference and what works best for you, but I can't see myself doing it any other way.

i never even tried to use cd mode... how do you drop a track on beat? just press play? i cant imagine cuing a track by pressing a button... i like physially dropping the track. plus i do scratch a lot because i have hip-hop gigs 2 or 3x a wk.

i'll have the try the cd mode when i'm @ home w/ my trance tracks. like i said, i never tried cd mode ~ maybe i'll like it.

CDJ mode. I really appreciate the accuracy afforeded while cueing and I have accidently stopping a song by accidently touching the top of the platter. I do use vinyl mode for effect on occasion as you can preform some cool tricks that aren't possible in CD mode. However I stay in CD mode at least 90% of the time.
