it's fairly easy to bend, but the worst is storing it badly. You NEED to store it as vertically as possible with very little force pushing it one way or the other. Leaving it to sit horizontally or in a horizontal stack for a while is a great way to get it warped. It's possible to un-warp vinyl but it can be tricky and it doesn't guarantee that the sound will go back perfectly normal.

laying records flat makes it so that small variations in their stacking, sleeve material, pressure from the weight above, etc can warp the vinyl and press out grooves. It's pretty important to always stack them vertically if you're storing them for a significant period of time.
