I think he's one of those either you love him, or don't like him DJ. Like others have said, he doesn't play a lot of party house tunes. Just a lot of tunes that takes a lot of patience and a bit of acquired taste.

i saw digweed at both Dragonfly, and at Labour of Love. I have to say he's an amazing producer and DJ. His set at Dragonfly was MUCH different than the one at Guvy. I think he only played like 3 of the same tracks.. which in my opinion is quite nice. A very versitile DJ depending on the crowd. i still give two thumbs up for Mr. Digweed

love him...he is very versitile...he can play real dark evil prog..can even venture into some big room house, and tech house...thats what makes each set you listen to so unique...the man is a master...
again its a matter of your musical taste
if you listen to his kiss shows they are not supposed to be amazing every week..he gives artists a chance to show case there tracks....you barely here songs that he previews in his shows, in his live sets...
there are a lot of Gems out there of his live sets...i really don't think he has changed...i think people tastes have changed...as mentioned before

I'm not sure you chose your words right Chris. Although it probably wasn't in your taste...in terms of dj skills and technical ability what Digweed was doing, and always does, was in fact extrodinairy. From a technical perspective what the man delivers night in and night out is extraordinairy. His ability is pretty much unmatched in the DJ world.

That's what I love about his show. He's got so much credit as a DJ that he can afford to experiment and allow other DJs to showcase their talent.
So his show might not be good every good, but at least it's expanding the EDM scene as a whole, instead of plugging same genre of tunes every week.

not true! Sometimes I love him, other times I can't fucking stand what he's doing behind those decks. When he's on though, he's definitely on but that is entirely subjective to what your tastes are. I like his darker, more progressive side but recently, he's been more into the techy stuff that I don't really care for.
So...maybe number 2? I dont know.
and, by Digweed being good, I mean July 2005 Essential Mix good. That shit just doesn't get old.

RJ and Sling said it best in this thread. The man is unmatched. Haven't been a fan of his recent sound though, but he's still a cut above the rest. You really do have to pay attention though.
