I feel bad for the guy, he really seems to care about his craft.
I've never been to any of his shows nor am i familiar with hi productions, but it seems to me like haters have it in for him just because its the cool thing to do.
I bet all the people who hate on this guy wish they had 1/10 of the success he has had over the years. You people should just get a life and find something better to do than to rant in a forum. IF YOU REALLY HATE HIM THEN DON'T BUY HIS RECORDS OR GO TO HIS PARTIES!!!
As far as Space is concerned, the same people who complaint about it are the same that keep going back year after year. If you really want them to change their ways then we the public have to stop handing them our money. I for one did not attend a single party at space this WMC and had a blast. And from looking at the lines from across the street, Space had their worst WMC in years. Maybe people are getting fed up with their gangster ways.
They should really learn from the way pawnshop and Made events handled their parties. Everyone from the doorman to the bartenders were courteous. It was a pleasure being there and im sure a lot of people felt the same way i did.

Yeah, that wasn't something I'd normally expect from you. It was like the Twilight Zone.

I don't buy his records and don't go to his parties, but if you've ever heard a DJ set of his you'd know why he's bashed constantly. There's a thread in Music Discussion (you'll have to use the search button) with a magazine article showing the setup he uses. He runs Ableton, CDJs, synths, and an incredible amount of hardware. The only problem? Every single one of his sets sounds like he presses play on the turntable, switches the faders and calls it good without any beatmatching, phrasing, EQ'ing, etc. Then he goes out and posts stuff like this.
Do a little research before you start attacking us "haters."

JP is like that kid in high school who keeps getting in trouble then blames everyone else for it. He brings 3000lbs worth of equipment then complains that his own wires might electrocute "his fans." It's good to know that he's the only DJ on the planet that has the ability to literally kill people with his beats.
I admire the man's passion, dedication and devotion to his craft. I really do. It's important for DJs out there to care about the people he's playing to and for that I respect him immensely. But sometimes you just gotta make the best of a bad situation and to just get the job done. What touring DJ has ideal conditions all the time? He seems like the type of DJ that won't play unless everything is perfect, and if it ain't he'll bitch about it. Sometimes you just gotta make due with what you have and if that's only 2 CDJs, then so be it. I saw a video of Sasha and Diggers playing an outdoor gig in Buenos Aires where there were torrential downpours and they just kept rockin' it to the point that nobody cared about the weather. It's important for ALL touring DJs to adapt to their constantly changing environment in order to succeed.
