Then what are Synaethesia (En Motion Mix), Cloudwalking (Astral Remix), Glass Garden, Mistral, Dreamland etc? They don't sound THAT much different (to me at least) than those two, other than a little newer than those two. Those are all known trance tunes....

No my hearing is fine. This on going argument by you guys on here is just stupid. You pick and choose tracks which you like and if they fit your interests, then they are trance but that doesn't mean everything else isn't. I was just listening to "Glass Garden" and that surely sounds like trance to me. No huge breakdowns, just repetitive effects, melody, chant like vocal loop repeated throughout. Synaethesia has that melody throughout, with minor breakdowns and changes over time. Builds and builds. The same with Mistral, it just builds and builds like a more energetic version of Glass Garden with some minor breakdowns. It's highly noted as a trance track. The point I try to make is that these stuff you guys put down so much is noted as trance and nothing else. I fail to see how it's THAT much different from the select tracks you point out. So i'de go back and listen to esp Mistral and Glass Garden, before concluding they are not trance music. If you had to name these tracks then, what would you call it if they are not trance? They are surely "entrancing" to me with the effects, loops, repeated melodic fragments...maybe "Synaethesia" isn't that "entrancing" but Mistral and Glass Garden are. There's absolutely no HUGE SUPER SAW breakdown in them and they aren't super fluffy sounding either.

Life Less Ordinary belongs on the "sweedish house mafia rip off songs compilation" not on the "world's greatest trance 3 disc collection"

Definitely some good stuff here, but where is Greece 2000?

"i see maybe 2 tracks on there that deserve to be called that"

"calling your name and age of love"

You were implying that those two tracks are the only trance tracks on this CD. When like I said, many of those on the third CD (which is the best IMO) are considered trance, by some well known trance producers (chicane, thrillseekers, pulser, sonorous, Gareth Emery (GTR), Signum, Yahel etc).

I think he was implying that only those deserved to be called "the world's greatest trance tracks" out of the bunch not that the rest wouldn't be trance.. just nothing to do with world's greatest trancers.

Looks terrible. Even what would've been the best tracks on this had to be sub-par remixes of their originals instead.

Oh okay, I see...must have misinterpreted what he said. It's just there is people on here that are feverish supporters of only one specific sound and feel that the sound they like is trance and everything else isn't. Or that the early and mid 90s sound being so different from the later stuff that doesn't have huge super saw breakdowns (which not all epic, melodic trance has, but some people think so).
