You know, when you got detune, it does the phasing thing. Its when the oscillators match back up to the sound that it began with. Just one of my words

The name of this Vengeance JP8k patch is Beach Party.
It's made in Perform mode and use 2 detuned supersaw waveforms at the same time, one filtered down for bassy frequencies and another higher treble one.

This type of patch is really very cool and can fit in various mixes. Also nice for use in a Rank 1 - Airwave cover...

But, really I like to use another sound that comes from Nord Lead 3 and can do the same effect and even more. It's in Vipzone multisamples Leads 1 collection. I really like it!

The problem with using a sampled supersaw waveform is it will sound very fake if the notes are triggered at the same place in the sample all the time. If you have a sampler that can randomize the start position it could work ok.

For free? Making good usable samples takes time and experience, that's why sample libraries can cost a lot of money. And even then, using samples isn't like having the synth. A big part of the sound comes from the onboard effects and filters. If you filter sweep a JP80x0 supersaw sample, it's not going to sound like moving the filter on the synth.

If you really want that type of sound, for free, look through freeware VST synths and see which one provides the closest sound to a supersaw. It'll sound a bit different, but it may work for what you're trying to do.
