Sounds cliche, but joining TA when I was 16 is definitely one of them.

A huge marker event for me was visiting Europe with friends/TAs in 2004. Changed my life. Opened my eyes as to how people in other cultures live and can learn to live with other people (even for a temporary period of time). Not to mention the parties!!

There are some huge markers that have yet to happen though.

Very similar... but not TA, but having trance come into my life the way it did.

Before, I had never been much active in trance, only euro. I only passively listened to trance here and there.

Discovering my true passion for trance has brought me to new plateaus and into situations and environments where I really, truly found myself and a greater sense of belonging than I'd had previously in my 20 years.

If I'd never digressed from euro and into trance, I'm positive I'd not be the same person I am now with the same level of contentedness and sense of identification to my friends (even my friends I know would be different).

The class I am in now is almost finished, and I am ready to take another one. This specific class has a focus on Interior Design ethics (my major), so we talk about environmental ethics, and a bit of professional ethics...I enjoy this class more than my design classes, lol.

One of my marker events was when I had an accident that caused me to lose a good chunk of my memory. I was forced to build up a new person cuz the old one was kinda gone. I still remember bits and pieces but my memory from childhood to 14 is pretty much gone.
But from what I do remember, I like who I am now better than who I was before.

Joining TA is another marker event.

signing my first 13yr contract with the military.
becoming a rez DJ at an afterhrs club.
