I had a malicious virus take out my old hard drive worth of material last June. After emailing Beatport with the situation and the invoices, I was allowed to redownload everything I purchased from them.

To ensure I dont lose this shit again I bought 2 hard drives. Both have copies of all the musical work, one is connected to the computer, one isn't and stored somewhere safe. Seems like a good solution.

yea working at that helpdesk makes me a strong advocate for backing up data. I have to tell around 2 people a day that their computers are dead and there is no way of getting their data back. The files most missed are pictures and music. I have around 500 gigs or so of data I should back up, but im lazy Maybe i should take my own advice....but at least my hard drives are partitioned to prevent any mishaps with windows.
