Trance is a very emotional, over the top genre, and the DJ is there to get the most he can out of a crowd, push them to the "reach for the lasers" point. So naturally, a DJ who can get people to achieve such a high state of emotion, is viewed as being out of this world, incredible, "omg i die" good. You just can't get that with other genres... |

It took only a few events for me to realize that trance DJs make ppl feel good, particularly with the specific sort of music they play and the emotions and energy they typically display; so, showing them adoration is, it seems to me, a means to demonstrate appreciation for the memorable experiences they help create.
