Here's a tutorial I made a few months back:
This is a tutorial on how to make your own t-shirt by using a cheap t-shirt, stencilling, silk paint, some old brushes and a permanent marker. If you want to create t-shirts with more sophisticated designs, complexity or with multiple colours, then I’d advise that you either go to a t-shirt print shop or go to someone who is experienced at screen-printing. My method is more for simple designs/text and is better suited if using dark or black t-shirts, but should still work if done on lighter materials.
1.

Here’s a couple of PVD t-shirts I make by just using cotton t-shirts and white silk paint (same kind you use for painting walls or ceilings). Silk paint or fabric paint should work fine. DON’T choose a paint that will wash off easily.
2.

Before starting, prepare yourself with your chosen design, a pad or tracing (stencilling) the design, a Stanley knife, brushes and some paint.
3.

Trace over your design
4.

Before painting, make sure you have something thick and solid underneath the shirt (where you’re going to paint) to prevent the paint penetrating right through. Cut out the spaces of the tracing carefully and place where you’d like to paint. When painting, paint on and away from the edges to reduce smudges. If part of the design has a space, paint it roughly and go over it with a finer brush later.
5.

As you can see, there are some smudges but that can be easily corrected which I’ll demonstrate later. If you want to reduce this, used card for your stencil.
Let the paint dry, for about 10 mins and paint layers until it looks opaque. Again, wait till paint dries before moving on.
6.

Use a fine permanent marker to black out the smudges.
7.

Voila!
*******
It's a bit lame but it works.
