rob i appreciate your input since you're the one doing most of the legwork with me. and yeah i agree, we should just concentrate on the weekly now. it's tough trying to juggle both, that's for sure. i just... don't want to develop an "i'm too good to play here" attitude, i mean when we started in january without any previous milwaukee gigs, i was ready to spin for free at any moment, and now that we have some leverage at some other venues around town, i don't want to say, "fuck this place, we've got better places to play at." because what if they fall through? no gigs then. i hate to "burn bridges"; i've screwed myself over many a time with non-dj-related incidents because i was too proud to back down.

It's not about being too good to play anywhere - it's about working with the kinds of people you can have even the tiniest bit of respect for, which I am not capable of having for Mike.
I'd still play, anywhere, anytime, for nothing more than a free drink and some semblence of either effort or appreciation.
