didnt i say that this was the eval copy.. must have slipped my mind.....(!)
Obviously you all are going to buy your own full versions of this and hand over £299 (as it is here in the UK) to those lovely Swedes for their time and effort and any mention of unlicensed, cracked, copied or hacked would certainly unintentional...
If ya know what I mean...
Also..have you seen how many versions of Dreamweaver4 and all the other products from Macro... pervade the net!

tu_face man... you downloaded it on your 56k?!? hehe man now that's ambitious
i only hope reason doesn't start floating around so every lamer can grab a copy like they do with macromedia or whatever. But to help a few fellow tranceaddicts now thats different
what cloudwalker said... unlike photoshop/macromedia stuff which is definitely overpriced for what they do- im pretty sure you could justify paying for Reason... just dont hold that against me.
it's literally got the power and ability of a $20,000 studio setup (or so i have heard) in a single $400 u.s. package (fraction of the price for normal hardware synths, 'cept this is an entire studio rack!)... well that's how i see it. Those swedes outdid themselves with this software!

umm..run the prog for a couple of days..thought about actually buying it until i tried to run two sysnths one sampler and a drum machine at the same time with a bit of chorus on...CPU usage hits 100% and everything sounds crap..
Then again ive only got an K6-2 450 with 256mb, so i cant expect miracles. When decent CPU comes along..(one day) might actually have to buy this properly, because it is sucha fine proggie..at the moment tho, mostly unusable for anything more than the most simple of tasks.

cloudwalker> i think it's wierd you are having such problems... I have read about people using reason without much of a hitch, and they seemed to have much lower system specs than you do. Maybe you could try going into the preferences and turning the buffer up or something? try tweaking the settings in there...
I can't really attest to this since my setup is an athlon 750 w/128 megs of ram... at most i've probably seen this program hit 40-50% cpu usage, and that only lasted for very short amounts of time.. where I had that trance[]control demo (which had tons of instruments playing in it)

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! im running it on a k6 233 with 64mb of ram, its fine until u get two drum machine, two synths and a sampler going, with reverb, delay and chorus... then it only clicks a bit my cpu is obviously stupidly hard heheh
Agreed though, the best music making software there is... sooo good
