I can remember when i first joined this board how I and many others would get so pissed that techno had all but fallen of the map in this town. What once was a defining sound that turned this city into a mecca for electronic audiophiles just could not be found, and a group of us bitched and moaned all the time. It lasted and lasted until we grew tired and gave up. I honestly haven't been this excited about a booking in a very long time, it feels almost like a rebirth of something you forget but always lingers. The thought of those jazzy rolling baselines and funky hooks he peppers his sets with on that beast of a system...I'm no dj worshipper, but this man is no dj. He is to techno what Chuck Berry was to rock and roll and all these huge German acts that are blowing up and trendy right now might very well be different or not even there if not for people like Derrick May, Juan Atkins and himself. If you think i'm shitting you try and listen to the tracks on his No More Words Ep that he released in 91 and tell me it wouldn't fucking kill a dancefloor even today. Why am i being so nice...fuck you diskho with a little bit of thanks
