very confusing thread
a side note - I thought Virgin Mobile and Telus (maybe Bell) were the only TDMA providers? since when Rogers had non-GSM phones? uber strange!

as far as I thought/know - GSM are phones which use a SIM card and can be used with different providers, TDMA/Analog phones are phones which limit you only to your own provider, they are programmed to work with one only, and do not accept a SIM card
