it was a cool party. kos had a great opening set. i think the One+One concept is rather dumb. I had been waiting a long time to see Nic Fanciulli for the first time and I was disappointed. His mixing was really rough and didn't appear to be having much fun. I really enjoyed when Zabs would go solo and just go nuts with the efx and layering of samples and different tracks. I believe that Nic Fanciulli holds Zabiela back and I would have much preffered to see Zabs solo. I loved hearing the dirtybird tracks throughout the night especially since I was wearing a dirtybird tshirt. It was cool seeing all the darkside TA's and meeting new ones. The sound at the club was much better than before with the old setup in the corner. Although it was hard to get up in front to watch the dj's work their magic on all the knobs. I love Monday Night Social and their intimate setting, I can't wait to go back.
well i can't really say much for nic last night since I wasnt there (and I'm fucking pissed i wasn't ), nor have I seen Nic and James play together.
But I've seen them both individually, and I've heard alot of their mixs and their new album. I must say that I wasn't really a fan much of the tracks Zabiela would play before they both got together. I loved his sets though and always had a fucking blast when I saw him. he always has so much energy and so much fun on the decks and the efx he does are awsome, but most of the songs he would play just weren't really my thing. The times I've seen Nic I have always really dug the tracks he played and also had a great time. The sets I've heard of them both since they have gotten together have been awsome. So i must say I'm a big fan of the one+one concept, and don't think Nic is holding James back. But I guess everyone has different tastes
Last night could have just been an off night for Nic though.
Anyway, so wish I had been there. Glad to hear everyone had a good time.

Sound was super clean and tuned nicely which explains why my ears weren't in pain or ringing even after standing right up front by the speakers.
I heard somewhere that ditching the booth for the setup over by the wall was bunny's (of rabbit in the moon) request and I was somewhat pleasantly surprised they kept it that way

Thanks for a fun night!
We were super tired. We did have 6 gigs in a row. Whoever gave me that Chocolate Milk did me a huge favour, I went from being dead to completely hypercative throughout the set lol
Montie, thanks for the kind words.

julia explained to me your guys' situation. too much to get into right here, but i just wanna take back what i said. after what you guys had to go through, i am surprised you both didnt cancel the gig. i feel bad for what I said and everything makes sense now. I have more respect for Nic Fanciulli now and I will go on to say that since I missed Vanguard on Saturday, I do not have enough first hand knowledge to judge the One+One concept based on what I saw last night. Keep up the good work guys! Sorry for the negativity. What was that daft punk track you played??

That's the only one they played on Saturday, I think the other one was just an acapella. I can't remember if it was Harder, Better, Faster or what.
