There are always politics when you have to pick winners and losers but if any of you are interested, it's a great opportunity.

Ohh, Oxide, I know him pretty well. Ya I was rooting for him. The first time he got to the dj booth on his first date he brought mp3 cds and had to let the track run out from the previous dj and reenter into the competition. Didn't have any normal cds to play.
The thing with his set (when he got his new date) was he played trance at Toi bar (you can do it but it's tough to pull off, it's a smaller sized lounge), and his last or second last mix was pretty sketchy. Unfortunately that was the exact point that the judges were listening very hard. It was too bad, I was rooting for him but it happens.

but if ur "upcoming" it means u obviously are just a bit more than a bedroom dj. hence the only people that would come to support u would be ur friends and not even acquaintances. so it really DOES matter how many friends u have or how popular u are as a person for that aspect.

for example, say Mr. Evil Tree sucks as a DJ and doesnt have any friends to support him... and hes goin up against myself and say i suck as bad as him....just cos i have more friends than him, im def gonna win...

seems like who ever was judging wasnt paying attention...i figured, it wasnt a good idea to play techy trance at a place like that....but, judges should be listening really hard through the whole thing

The 'crowd pull' is only 1 of 6 criteria, it's hardly going to come down to which dj has the most friends.
