@Haak...Sounds great, with phaser it is even much better than I did it
in the past.
@Russ Castella: a sound like dumonde - do you mean their typical lead synth which sounds like a mixture of a saw lead and a pizzicatto, or
do you mean "dumonde sound" in general ( Bassline, Pads, ... )
@robstar...waiting for professional tips
For my next hint:
I am still in desperate need for raw wave forms of hardware synthesizers ( do you know what I mean btw ??? ).
If someone can send me them or post them, I will be proud to present you, how to get the REAL sound into software

I just used a vocal sample from some accapella that said "oh yeah", no synths, unless you were talking about the bassline. That was made in reason

This idea is really great.
I myself have just begun working with software synths. Right now, the only thing I know is how to make a phat sound with the 3xosc.
I hope I can learn much more from all you guys
Don't let this thread die.

Tip 1) Go buy a Novation Supernova. You'll get the phattest sounds you've ever heard in your life.
Tip 2) For leads: Throw down multiple polyphony on ur tune.. like 3 or 4. Then Add chorus. Then add unison (dunno what this could be called in terms of software...). Then add alittle reverb, a little panning delay. Make 2 copies of ur main synth, putting one on left channel, one on right. Then you'll have a huge noise. Just make sure you start with a good patch

peoples. I quickly made a little sample for you all, following all my tips above
Anyone have any good synthesis tips for pads or strings? I'm thinking of building a reaktor ensemble, and any advice would definately help.

Bouncing/ass shaking basslines w/Frooty...
Could you give me an example? That concept can be applied to many things. For a good running bass, the TS404 does the trick nicely. Use LP12 in the filter section and a little less resonance than you'd normally use.
Most impotant tip - make sure you get to hear your stuff on a system that lets you hear subs! You need to know what's going on between 30-80Hz to get those basses right.

Taz, thanks again!! Nice advices
Well..Here are some songs where are bass-lines that I like
I love those Brooklyn Bounces bass-lines, their older stuff got really shaking basses (get ready to bounce) and Tank -Return of power & I hear those drums. ATB has nice bass also, but it isn't so bouncing... But ATB's older stuff (when he was in that Sequential One) has quite nice bass-lines. Kosmonova- On a house trip, Richi M-One life to live....
And some not so old stuff wich has bouncing basses: Norman Bass -How U like bass, Trance Allstars -Lost in love (I really love that original by Legend B)...And Kay Cee is WOW!
