Take two 1/4'' sheets of glass and put the record in between the sheets. Slightly warmup an oven and place the record thats sandwitched in between the two peices of glass in and wait 5 - 10 mins untill desired results are acheived!

Ive done this before and it does work but try it on a record u dont use anymore to find the right temperature.

I've seen this suggestion many times, but I don't want to put my vinyl in the oven. I'm sorry, I just don't want to do it.

One reason being that, while the overall structure softens, if you're putting pressure on the face you may be deforming the grooves as well .

But more importantly it just seems a little risky to be putting it int the oven.

Would love to hear about your results after a day or two.

My mind went to work and I came up with another bit to help out. One of the most important things is weight and a flat surface, so...

Mind you this is all without heat, because, as I said above, it scares me. The key is the spindle can keep the other platter in place above the record.

Gravity for the win.

It wouldnt work, weight wont fix a warped record. Ive stacked two hundred pounds of dumbells on a worped record and still couldnt get it unwarped.
