For an hour I was greeted with what I like to call the tech-house loop. Obviously there are tracks hidden somewhere in between but the monotony of the tunes just made this set a bore to listen to. I’m sorry all-nite-freak, but this wasn’t my cup of tea. On the upside, your technical dj'ing skills are flawless.
Here’s some food for thought. Out of the few tech-house sets I listen to here and there, most djs seem to focus on the minimal side of the genre only and often times the whole set lacks any build and variation such as the case is with this set, but remember it’s called techno house for a reason. Some might argue that tech-house is not so easy to keep fresh through and through, but I disagree. Aside from the house and minimal influences, try taking advantage of the techno part as well and build on it. Here’s two samples which bring out the techno in tech-house:1, 2
All in all, just let the crowd have it as you go along and pick tracks which would achieve a more dynamic sound to listen to and less one dimensional.
By the way lmao at the last track. You caught me off guard with that choon!

well, i appreciate such an in depth review. This is why i posted it here in the first place. I could sense that a bit too, but now i'm thinking this is absolutely horrible because i managed to bore someone who likes trance. Glad the mixing was spot on, thats what i've been working the most on. I had gotten too much new stuff and went with some tracks i knew better.Next mix will have a more radioslavish feel to it but fuck that if i'm letting you listen to that Trance boy
Last track was an inside joke of sorts. Thanks!

thanks...
i appreciate the time, and im gonna do something a little different next time just for you stevie. I'm gonna be breaking out some trip hop/acid/and fuck your mom electro courtesy of the brazillian zoo.
I'm surrounded by minimal overtones where i live...and when putting this together i was very inspired by the excitement i have for the upcoming mutek festival...( www.mutek.ca ) and the experimental nature of this gong show of electronic genius. That and i possibly have been listening to too many boratto and loco dice sex (mispelled intentionally).
By the end of the summer i will have you praising the mighty audio werner even if i have to play for an angel to trick you into it.
freak pirate radio later tonight.
check the cor listings.
yes stevie..i'm bringing mr fingers back to the party and no washing machines allowed
if i can't do electro i don't deserve to be tiga's neighbour.

Even though I love trance, I also find some trance sets posted here that are pretty boring as well. I'm a picky bastard, I'll admit that.
The pickiness gets even worse when I'm listening to tech-house which I don't do that often.

I'm in the minority here as a lot of people enjoy the hec out of your set. Just keep doing what you do, but better and in your style because if you try to conform to my tastes it probably won't work.

The only track I like so far from Boratto is 'Atol' although I haven't finished listening to the rest of his work.
