Its all well and good saying "Its licensed to another label in another country" until one label IS on Beatport and the other ISNT.
I would proxy, simply because this, in my opinion, is utterly stupid. Its the INTERNET, not a shop, if its available in one country it should be available in ALL.
I was trying to buy this tune on beatport, and everytime I tryed to add it to my basket it popped up with a message saying that I was not allowed to buy it in my territory (UK). I looked further into this and it turns out that the label that it is signed to has released it exclusivly to North America!
Does anybody know how I can get my hands on a high quality (320kbs) MP3? I really want to buy the tune - dont wanna go down the illegal route, but I dont know how else to get it. Its obviously a wicked track, and I cant see why they wouldnt just allow people who want it to buy it!
If anybody can help, and let me know where to find it, it would be much appreciated. I'm actually quite desperate because the bar I'm DJing at is getting a new manager and she wants a mix CD to see if she likes what I play. I dont fancy compromising the tracklist ive got in my head.
Cheers
Well you can buy it from
iTunes (and use QTFairuse, and then JHymn to convert to mp3)
or
DJ Download - Where I got mine from. They do a 192 and a 320 version.
You did used to be able to get it on 3beat, but you can't anymore; there's no 'buy' link 3 beat

There's a word that sums up this sort of behaviour, and that word is 'reject.'
