Many Balearic(eg Chicane style) trance tracks fit the description.

I've always equated "morning trance" with Chicane, Steve Helstrip (Thrillseekers, Rapid Eye, En Motion, Hydra, Insigma), Leama & Moore, Solar Stone, Lustral, Nalin & Kane, Tastexperience, Salt Tank, some BT, PvD, Micro de Govia, Above & Beyond and a few others. Really I think of it as more of a chilled type trance that is highly melodic, somewhat deep or progressive sounding and other times quite epic. I think of the more melodic, deep stuff that Markus Schulz plays as "early morning". "Early Morning" trance definitely brings about images of the sunrise.

The "Balearic" or "Ibiza" sound defintely comes to mind. I think of such tracks as "Paradise" and "By Your Side" by Miro, "Offshore" and "Halcyon" by Chicane, "The Calling", "Seven Cities" and "Solar Coaster" by Solar Stone, "Getting Away With It (Thrillseekers Remix)" by En Motion, "Affinity (Thrillseekers Dub)" by Hydra, "Eugina", "Jeanie" and "Pueblo Blanco" by Salt Tank, and "Summersault" and "Tantrix" by Tastexperience and "3579 KM" and "Lullaby" by Kalafut & Fygle. Also Mark Otten's music can definitely be described as "early morning". A label, which is progressive house but has very melodic releases, is "Toes In The Sand" and I definitely think of their stuff as "early morning"...it reminds you of the sunrise.

The track that defines early morning IMO is Orinoko's "Island (Thrillseekers Remix)".

The same list of artists you type out in every other post you've ever made, basically.

Morning trance is the term used in the psychedelic and goa trance scene to refer to melodic tracks perceived as uplifting and euphoric, in contrast to the average track which is dark and psychedelic. This type of tracks have shown to be quite suitable for the morning hours at parties, thus "morning trance", "morning psy", "morning goa".

Examples:

Astral Projection - The Prophecy
Human Blue - Rollercoaster
Jupiter 8000 - Break The Law
Vibrasphere - Morning Breeze
Wizzy Noise - Aegean Sunrise

Basically, because they represent the sound I like...beautiful, melodic, euphoric, visceral, bordering on ethereal. I like "early morning, sunrise" or "late night, sunset" type music...as they are the times I enjoy music the most. I wouldn't list artists I didn't know/like. I like giving examples.

i remember a time when i listened to tastexperience - tantrix every morning on the way to classes.

definitely my 'morning trance'.

nothing like this kind of music after i stay up working the whole night to help me keep working through the morning with a couple of red bulls

halcyon of course is another great example as was said earlier - i mean the video is even geared towards that morning situation. it's like a drag-yourself-out-of-bed and take a long drag sort of music
