movie was pretty wicked at IMAX, got a chance to watch it there...

it was very intense in the theater.

We already saw children of men, now i am just waiting on a good chance to watch Babel. I have had it for a while, we just haven't had a chance to sit down and enjoy the movie.

you guys seen "El crimen del padre Amaro"?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0313196/

Its another film from another Mexican director. The movie is very similar to Amores Perro's and Y tu mama tambien.

Its directed by Carlos Carrera, I think he will be the forth member of the 3 amigos sooner on later....

Dude! El Crimen del Padre Amaro is fucking awesome. Its like watching the Talented Mr Ripley, a likeable character who turns out to be a total sadistic sick fuck. Love it! Y Tu Mama Tambien, watch the uncut version cuz if you watch the American version you are not gonna get the punch line of the movie.

I don't get this movie. Really, I don't. Can someone explain to me the actual relevance of the historical backdrop other than to serve as a role for an unwanted, harsh environment to escape from? It didn't seem to influence the fantasies, even though the fantasies somewhat affected the realities in the movie.
