People are taught English from birth in the USA, Canada, Australia, South Africa, India and Hong Kong amongst other places because those nations used to belong to England. Americans would be spreading French across the world if it weren't for us.

However, I am very proud of my country's musical heritage, particularly in the last century. I wouldn't trade it.
