Sod records, buy a Neve V series with flying fader automation, yours for only £1,000,000. Or a Sony Oxford.

Seriously, I've got a Gemini 626 and it's OK. It's got a fucking high noise floor but it does the job and feeds enough level to the headphones. I know they've got a reputation for blowing up but if you run it properly it'll be fine - I've not had a problem yet.

Stanton RM-3?

No way, dude.... You have to leave that option out.
I had that mixer and it sucks in several ways.

First, if you intend to use cross-fader, let me tell you that the fader curve is like this /-\, it dips in very steeply (fukin steep) when you move from channel 1 to 3. It kinda drops into the next channel just like that. It doesn't have any additional fader curve options.

Second, the knobs on the stantons are too close together. And the construction of the knobs are quite piercing too.
Pretty painful playing with them for a couple of hours.

Lastly, and probably, one of the most important features of all, the volume of the headphones. It is too damn soft under any conditions. Blast at full volume, I can still hear my dog fart.

I was very critical with this 'cos, I paid $$ for this shit and it turns out this way.

What I was impressed was the kill switches. Excellent to play with. And the sound quality. Sound quality is just awesome....

Try out before you buy, that is one mistake I learn from this mixer.

behringer dx-1000

dudesssssss what do you think of the Behringer DX1000?
Is it any good? I was thinking about buying it last summer. Instead I got the Numark DM1835X ( with beatkeeper)
Now I have found the BEhringer for an incredible price. So low that I was thinking there must be something wrong with it. Is there, guys? Because if there isnt I be down there tommorow to trade my old gemini ps626pro in for it.

I never use my beat counter so I thought why have one. If u can mix without one its much better.

Laterzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Behringer makes really good mixers from what I've heard. I never had one and the only time I got to mess around with one is at the store. The mixer seems really solid and is intuitive to use. The only thing you might not like is that the EQ knobs only go +/- 12 dB. If it is a brand new mixer then go for it ! If it is used, play with it as much as possible to see if there's something wrong with it. (By the way, why would you need 7 channels ?)

peace
