I've had this huge spider plant since fifth grade (10 years now). I haven't named her yet, but I am somewhat attached to it, despite it being the ugliest thing ever. Ugly plants need love too.

Yeah it's kinda weird. I don't attach genders to any of my other plants, but seeing as this one keeps generating babies at an alarming rate I thought it seemed appropriate.

We name pets - they are alive
We name people - they are alive
Why not name a plant?

Hell, people name their own body parts. Or their cars. etc. etc.

And a Basil plant in my office, which rocks because it smells really nice all day

Yeah, I love it out there, it's extremely relaxing. But the possums ate all my herbs, so that's why I have a Basil plant in my office
