at first i was thinking "why is it giving me such even numbers?" i would get results like 126.00, 125.00, 125.99 and so on...but then i thought, when a producer is making a track, dont the usually set the BPM at an even number anyways? why on earth would anyone find it necessary to begin making a track at 124.8972 BPM :P ? when i realized that then it all fell into place and i started to trust ts accuracy.

Yes. You've gotta realize that even if the producer sets an even BPM, however, that if the file you're detecting from was ripped from vinyl, etc. that it may not be so perfect.

You just drag your tracks into the main window, right click, choose "Detect" and "Key"

Not that hard to re-key!

If I remember rightly, there are two windows in RE (top and bottom). Which one is the main window?

Also, does RE catalog all our tunes with the Key clearly visible? That's something that I really like about Mixmeister.

Also, not every track is made in Cubase or Ableton or whatever where you're physically setting a BPM - so some tunes might actually be at 125.4321343242 - hence why you beatmatch with your ears and not your eyes.

Mine only has one window, and it's clear that's where the tracks go...

And yeah, the BPM, the Key, and some other info are all clearly displayed.

I don't know, I don't use it. Sorry m8.

The only time BPM is really of any concern to me is when I'm editing tracks, otherwise I beatmatch by ear.

Mixmeister is indeed horrible for key detection, but good for bpm's... RE is far more acurate for keys, but every once in awhile its wrong.
