I still have yet to hear them play live. As far as productions go, they are up there with the best. Its funny, everytime I end up picking up djs from the airport for our parties, I always eventually ask the djs who they generally view as the most talented American djs / producers, and they almost always mention Gabriel and Dresden. I'm curious, whats so bad about their live sets? |
Their sets are all over the place.....they can't program if their lives depended on it. Their sets have no flow at all. They can't mix. They overplay their own productions (understandable.) I've seen them live about six or so times and can't say I was ever impressed. I guess if you go just to hear their productions and don't care about anything else then it would be OK but considering what you pay to see them isn't worth it imo. That combined with the fact that Dave is mangled out of his mind every time they perform makes you wonder if he actually cared to be professional, would they be any better live??? I can't hate though cause they gotta do what they gotta do to make that money but you will never catch me paying to go see them.
