also while i'm no fan of 'the anthem' or indeed most current vocal stuff, the big singalong anthems where the whole place joins in can be a massive atmosphere booster, which has proved pretty dancefloor friendly in my experience. i can see your point that older trance is more dancefloor friendly in the sense that it encourages continuous uninterrupted dancing, but more recent trance is focused more on making people happy, which is arguably why most people go to trance clubs in the first place.

That's crowdpleasing (giving the crowd what it wants), not dancefloor-friendly (catering to actual dancing). Slight difference.
